Walter 'Ski' Szymanski Scholarship for Young Birders

2025


The Broomfield Bird Club will award a scholarship to one child age 8-13 with a demonstrated interest in wild birds. Broomfield residents will be given priority in the selection process. The scholarship will cover, in full, the registration fee for a weeklong “bird camp” experience in the summer of 2025 at the Environmental Learning Center at Barr Lake State Park, near Brighton.

Depending on age, the recipient will attend:

NOTE: Camp hours are 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. daily. The recipient’s parent/guardian is responsible for providing transportation to and from camp each day.
